Overview

TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a Lab Test Engineer for our team! We are seeking an experienced Lab Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in RF lab environments with expertise in 5G technologies and a deep understanding of RF components and interference. Hands-on experience with RF simulators and knowledge of FCC regulations or spectrum management is highly valued. This role is critical in supporting cutting-edge projects involving advanced RF and wireless communication technologies.

 

This is also a training and mentoring position to support the Tier I NOC with their daily operations. Likewise, the candidate will a required to support new 5G sites and fronthaul transport deployment efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and operate RF test equipment, including RF simulators, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers, to execute various lab experiments.
  • Design, set up, and validate 5G test scenarios and configurations to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to RF interference, hardware failures, or network performance discrepancies.
  • Collaborate on projects involving spectrum allocation and FCC compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and protocols for RF system performance evaluation.
  • Collect, interpret, and present test data; create detailed technical reports to support engineering and project teams.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align test objectives and outcomes with broader project goals.
  • Monitor, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment to ensure consistent, reliable results.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in RF lab environments.
  • Strong expertise in 5G technologies, including RF system architecture and testing methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage RF lab operations or act as a 5G lab Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in using RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, RF simulators).
  • Knowledge of RF system components (e.g., circulators, duplexers, antennas).
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and spectrum management processes.
  • Experience with out-of-band impact analysis and RF interference mitigation.

  • Ability to adapt test strategies to align with project needs and technical requirements.
