As part of our ongoing partnership with Comcast’s Machine Q strategic development team, we are seeking a Technical Project Coordinator IV to join a cutting-edge, high-impact team driving the Internet of Things (IoT) strategy for enterprise-scale B2B clients.

 

About the Machine Q Team:

Machine Q functions as a startup within Comcast, focusing on IoT innovation through strategic investments, new company creation, acquisitions, and licensing emerging technologies. The team has spent the last 5+ years shaping IoT strategies across verticals, with an emphasis on digital food safety solutions for Fortune 500 enterprises.

 

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Project Coordinator IV to support Machine Q’s field services and support operations, with a focus on a key enterprise customer: Starbucks. This role involves managing the ticketing and resolution workflow for thousands of deployed IoT sensors and devices across retail locations. You'll coordinate issue resolution, ticket routing, field service deployment, and reporting for high-volume device environments (1,000+ monthly truck rolls).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track all IT and field service projects to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Respond to and manage high-volume inbound support tickets related to IoT sensor systems (e.g., digital temperature monitoring, IoT gateways)
  • Troubleshoot customer issues and escalate tickets to field techs when dispatch is required
  • Compile project status reports and manage ongoing project documentation
  • Coordinate schedules, host meetings, and monitor timelines for issue resolution
  • Analyze system requirements and define project scope and deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including engineering, field services, and operations
  • Maintain and manage large sets of project data with a high level of accuracy and detail
  • Interface with Salesforce or ServiceNow (or similar ticketing platforms)
  • Communicate professionally with enterprise customers and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8+ years of project coordination or technical support experience, preferably in a telecom, IoT, or IT environment
  • Experience working in or with high-volume ticketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow)
  • Familiarity with field service dispatch operations is strongly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail is critical – must be comfortable managing repetitive workflows with precision
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and operate in a fast-paced, Agile team structure
  • Self-starter mindset; proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting IoT products or digital food safety systems
  • Exposure to enterprise customer environments like Starbucks, QSRs, or retail operations
  • Background in data analysis, technical troubleshooting, or project reporting
