Overview

TeleWorld Solutions is seeking an DAS Project Manager / In-Building Wireless (IBW) Project Manager to join our team! Own the build—from survey to five-bars. You’ll lead end-to-end delivery of carrier-grade in-building wireless (DAS/small cell/public safety) projects across hospitals, stadiums, airports, high-rises, campuses, and industrial sites. This is a delivery-first role: schedule, budget, quality, safety, and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Program & Schedule Management: Build and drive integrated project plans (design → permitting → procurement → construction → commissioning → carrier/AHJ acceptance). Manage critical path, risks, and dependencies.
  • Scope, Budget & Change Control: Define SOWs, estimates, and cost baselines; track CAPEX/OPEX, approve RFIs/COs, and ensure margin protection.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: Coordinate carriers/MNOs, neutral-host providers, venue owners, GCs/ECs, AHJs/fire marshals, and OEMs. Lead recurring stand-ups and executive readouts.
  • Design & Build Governance: Run iBwave design reviews, review floor plans and RF predictions, validate BOMs, and ensure constructability with ECs/low-voltage teams.
  • Construction Oversight: Sequence work with trades (power, fiber, structured cabling), material logistics, and site access; ensure labeling, grounding, and installation standards.
  • Testing & Turn-Up: Plan CW/grid test windows; coordinate PIM/VSWR/sweep, OTDR/OLTS, DAS head-end turn-ups, optimization cycles, and on-air validation with carriers.
  • Public Safety/ERRCS: Align with IFC 510 / NFPA 72 / NFPA 1225 requirements (donor isolation, DAQ, survivability, battery runtime) and manage AHJ acceptance.
  • Quality & Closeout: Enforce QA/QC checklists; deliver complete closeout packages (as-builts, test results, commissioning docs, photos, labels, acceptance letters).
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion safety plans (JSAs, OSHA best practices) and site protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor field leads/foremen; manage vendor performance against SLAs.

Qualifications

Must-have qualifications

  • 5–8+ years managing telecom deployment projects with DAS/IBW scope (enterprise or venue scale).
  • Proven delivery of multi-site or complex single-venue projects with carrier/AHJ acceptance.
  • Fluency with design/build artifacts: iBwave (viewer or higher), floor plans, RF predictions, BOMs, redlines, and CO packs.
  • Working knowledge of fiber & RF test workflows (OTDR/OLTS, PIM/VSWR/sweep, CW/grid).
  • Strong command of schedule/budget tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel); RFI/CO processes; vendor and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent communication: runs stand-ups, resolves conflicts, and reports status crisply to executives and venues.
  • US work authorization; ability to travel 10–25% for site walks, turn-ups, and AHJ/carrier tests.

Nice-to-haves

  • Public Safety DAS/ERRCS delivery experience (IFC/NFPA, DAQ testing, UL-listed equipment).
  • Certifications: PMP, iBwave L1/L2, NICET (FLS), OSHA-30, RCDD, FCC GROL.
  • OEM/stack familiarity: CommScope/TE, SOLiD, JMA, Corning/MobileAccess, ADRF; scanners (PCTel/R&S), analyzers (Anritsu/Keysight).
  • Construction/low-voltage background (EC coordination, permitting, inspections).
  • Data/automation chops (Power BI/Tableau, advanced Excel, basic Python for reports).
