TeleWorld Solutions is seeking a high-level, technically savvy Automation Engineer (formally classified as IT Project Manager V) to drive organizational efficiency through the Snowflake ecosystem, advanced data analytics, and the Atlassian suite.

This is not a task-based Jira Admin role. We are looking for a senior-level "Thought Leader" and "Solution Architect" who can brainstorm with VPs and Directors to solve complex business problems. You will be responsible for designing end-to-end automated data pipelines, building sophisticated portfolio-level dashboards, and leveraging AI/LLM tools to eliminate manual processes. You must be comfortable working as a one-person data engineering and automation powerhouse, translating raw execution data into strategic insights.

• Strategic Solutioning & Business Partnership: Act as a consultant to stakeholders (Directors to VPs). Brainstorm business problems, recommend optimal technical solutions/workflows, and implement them within the Jira ecosystem.
• End-to-End Data Engineering: Own the data lifecycle. Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines that ingest and transform raw Jira data into Snowflake data lakes and warehouses.
• Advanced Dashboarding & Reporting: Create high-impact, real-time dashboards for leadership at the team, program, and portfolio levels. Use eazyBI, Snowflake, and AI Cloud to provide insights into delivery health, capacity, and roadmap forecasting.
• Process Automation: Identify manual activities currently managed in Excel or Google Sheets and replace them with automated Python/Java-based solutions and AI integrations.
• Advanced Scripting: Develop complex automation logic, custom transitions, and listeners using Groovy (ScriptRunner) and Java.
• AI Integration: Leverage AI tools (VS Code, Amazon Bedrock, LLM models) to enhance data analysis and automate repetitive engineering tasks.
• Thought Leadership: Serve as a senior expert in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), ensuring Atlassian tools are configured to enforce best practices rather than just closing tickets.
• Training & Coaching: Upskill and coach leadership and technical teams on how to effectively utilize Jira and data-driven dashboards.

Priority 1 (Critical):

• Snowflake & Data Engineering:Proven hands-on experience with Snowflake ecosystem and data lake/warehouse architectures. Must be able to build and manage data pipelines end-to-end, not just consume pre-built tables.
• Advanced Python & Scripting:Strong proficiency in Python for automation, data manipulation, and integration with AI tools (e.g., VS Code, AWS Bedrock).
• Senior-Level Expertise:10+ years of overall experience with a Bachelor's degree (non-negotiable). Must be a seasoned professional who operates independently, drives projects to completion, and requires minimal supervision.

Priority 2 (Essential):

• Java & Groovy/ScriptRunner:Experience with Java and Groovy scripting for advanced Jira automation and customizations.
• Dashboard & Data Visualization:Expertise in building complex, insightful dashboards for leadership using data from data lakes (e.g., eazyBI, similar to Tableau).
• Strategic Jira Administration:Deep knowledge of Jira configuration (workflows, fields, permissions) with a solution-oriented, business-partnership mindset. Atlassian certifications (ACP-JA, ACP-JSM) are a plus but not required.
• Communication & Leadership:Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Must be articulate and confident in presenting to and brainstorming with senior leadership (Directors, VPs).

Highly Desirable:

• AI/LLM Experience:Practical experience leveraging AI platforms (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Claude AI) and LLM models to eliminate repetitive tasks, generate code, create dashboards, and improve analytical efficiency.
• SQL & Database Proficiency:Strong SQL skills for data querying and transformation.
• Agile Knowledge:Strong understanding of Agile principles and scaled frameworks.

Interview Process

1. Initial Screening:Virtual interview focused on resume review and overall fit.
2. Technical Rounds:One or two virtual/onsite interviews assessing hands-on skills in Snowflake, Data Lakes, AI, Python, Java, and Jira through problem-solving scenarios.
3. Final Round:Interview with senior management to assess cultural and organizational fit.

Additional Details:

• Location Requirement:Candidates must be in or 100% willing to relocate to the Bay Area, California at their own expense. Please clearly mark the candidate's location on the resume or in submission comments. Non-local candidates without confirmed relocation plans will not be considered.
• Onsite Schedule:Role is fully onsite (5 days/week) in Mountain View, CA. The company is transitioning to a full onsite model starting April.
• Role Evolution:This is an evolved, senior role focused on automation, data engineering, and strategic solutioning. We are not looking for a task-based Jira ticket administrator.
• Team Context:This role complements an existing Jira admin; the focus is on higher-level strategic projects, automation, and data insights.
